CBD affects the endocannabinoid receptors which are in both the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. Endocannabinoid receptors are very important as they function to maintain body homeostasis. CBD is deeply involved in those endocannabinoid neurotransmissions in that they upregulate and downregulate neural transmissions as needed to maintain that homeostasis, helping keep the body in a normal and healthy state. Although we’re focusing here on the use of CBD for pain in animals, other known actions in humans include the downregulation of anxiety, noise phobia, epilepsy, inflammation, emesis and anorexia, among other afflictions. So why use CBD if your pet is healthy? Why feed one type of diet or another to your pet? Most pet owners strive to feed quality nutrition so that their pet can have a healthy long life. As with proper nutrition, the thought of preventing disease is always on the minds of pet owners as it should be. Cannabidiol, should be included as part of you pets daily preventative care.
Everyday Uses Of CBD

• CBD has been shown to block an enzyme that destroys bone-building compounds in the body reducing the risk of age-related bone diseases like osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.
• When applied topically as an infused lotion, serum, oil, or salve, the antioxidants in CBD (a more powerful antioxidant than vitamins E and C) can repair damaged skin.
